Referral Services
In order to be screened for our services, you must call 3-1-1 and ask for Short Term Help. You do not need to be homeless to qualify. No calls for funds are answered at our administrative offices. The Homelessness Prevention Call Center operators will be able to screen you for all of the available financial assistance in your area.

Please note that if you are calling from a cell phone or from suburban Chicago, you may need to call the City Helpline directly at 312-744-5000. Again, you'll need to ask for Short Term Help.
